“It’s often hard to find spaces that feel safe and to be truly seen. My hope is that our sessions would be that place of safety and connection with God”
Daniel is a certified Spiritual Director through Renewal Ministries and the Anglican Diocese of New England. He has been in various ministry contexts for over a decade, including ministry to college students, working with the local church, and spiritual direction. In addition to spiritual direction, Daniel is also a working visual artist.
Daniel’s spiritual direction process is based in the belief that to grow in our relationship with God is to see God’s love for us. Fundamental to this process is cultivating a safe place of listening where you will learn to let your inner thoughts and desires rise to the surface so that God can speak to them specifically. Daniel recognizes that another key component to creating a safe space is connecting with God in a way that is familiar to your cultural and spiritual upbringing.
What you can expect in a session is spaciousness for your life, listening prayer, examining the consultations and desolations of daily life based in Ignatian Discernment. When interacting with traumatic life experiences we will use Karl Lehman’s Immanuel Approach, based in therapy and prayer.
Outside of spiritual direction, Daniel is a father of a preschooler, loves to play basketball, is often working on a variety of art projects with his wife, and is always looking for opportunities to try new foods.
Focus areas: transitions, discernment for life, processing past wounds, inner healing.
