In times of occasional conflict, pain, disunity and loss within a congregation, Renewal Ministries facilitators are able to come alongside. By assisting a church’s honest engagement with God and one another, they foster the healing and reconciling ministry of the Holy Spirit.
There are occasions in the life of congregations when there has been conflict, pain, disunity, and loss. This can have a great impact on the emotional and spiritual health of the congregation. So much so, that it may impede their growth in relationship with Christ and one another, as well as their effectiveness in ministry.
We come alongside congregations to assist them in honest engagement with God and one another, in order to receive the healing and reconciling ministry of the Holy Spirit. We do this by fostering a safe and confidential environment, Scriptural teaching, guided reflection and prayer, and small interaction. In some instances there is a need for honest and transparent group dialogue about hurts and losses. It is common that a congregational retreat concludes with a ritual of repentance and forgiveness and celebration of God’s healing work.
